Chimaek Festival is run by Dokkaebier in partnership with The Korea Daily. This page explains, in plain terms, what personal information this website collects and what happens to it. We have kept it short because the site does very little.
What we collect
Only what you type into one of our two forms:
- Waitlist form — your email address, and your name if you give it.
- Contact form — your name, email address and your message.
We do not sell anything on this website, so we never collect payment details. We do not ask for your address, phone number or date of birth.
What we do with it
We use your email address to tell you about Chimaek Festival — when the next one is happening, and how to attend. If you sent us a message, we use your details to reply to it. That is all. We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone.
Who else touches it
Three services are involved in running this site:
- Klaviyo stores our mailing list and sends our emails. Your name and email are held there.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and, like any web host, keeps short-lived technical logs such as IP addresses to keep the site online and block abuse.
- Google Fonts serves the two typefaces this site uses. Loading them tells Google your IP address. No cookie is set.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. There is nothing to opt out of.
How long we keep it
We keep your details until you ask us to remove them, or until the mailing list is clearly no longer active. Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it entirely. Just email us and we will do it — you do not need to give a reason. Depending on where you live you may have these rights formally under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR; we apply them to everyone regardless.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
